Angel Care is a supportive, end-of-life program that helps with the provision of palliative care to residents who have reached this stage in their journey.  The program also provides assistance to families and loved ones who may require additional support. 

Our Angel Room is a beautifully decorated space that allows the resident and their loved ones to spend time together during those final hours/days.  There is an adjoining room, separated by stained glass doors, for visitors chat quietly, have a tea or coffee, or just to rest.  An “Angel Pin” is offered and placed on the resident’s clothing as a symbol of their network of support and special family at Saint Luke’s. 

Saint Luke’s also has portable carts available in the event a resident wishes to remain in their own room. These carts may contain a CD player with special music selections, as well as readings that may be helpful.

Staff and volunteers are available to spend time with the resident when loved ones cannot be there.  It is hoped that the program will help families and residents to be at peace with the end-of-life journey.
