St. Luke’s Community Living Hosts First Ageless Grace Classes in Province

Tenants of St. Luke’s Community Living made history in June as the very first participants of Elaine Dunphy’s Ageless Grace classes in Newfoundland and Labrador. Ageless Grace is a “cutting-edge brain fitness program” of twenty-one different tools that each activate the five primary functions of the brain: strategic planning, memory and recall, analytical thinking, creativity and imagination, as well as kinesthetic learning. The tools are based on neuroscience and play – engaging the brain and body in a fun way. Participants enjoyed six, one-hour classes over three weeks on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons in the Babb Manor Conference Room. This initiative was driven by the 2020 Tenant Survey Report findings that exercise is a priority for tenants of this community and was funded by grant money obtained from ParticipACTION. 30-minute Ageless Grace classes continue in July (15th, 22nd, 29th) at Babb Manor at a cost of just $5 per class.
